Far from backing down on his ‘fire and fury’ threat towards North Korea, Donald J. Trump upped the ante on Thursday, declaring that his comments were, if anything, too tame. Speaking from his resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, the President said the DPKR have gone unchecked for too long.
“Frankly, the people who were questioning that statement, was it too tough? Maybe it wasn’t tough enough,” he said. “They’ve been doing this to our country for a long time, for many years, and it’s about time that somebody stuck up for the people of this country and for the people of other countries.”
He didn’t say what exactly would be ‘tough enough’ but it seems he has selected the Global Thermonuclear War option, instead of the ‘nice game of chess.’ That’s a War Games reference for all you whippersnappers.
Trump went on to laude our military and claim that we’ve got support from ‘everybody.’
“We’re backed 100 percent by our military, we’re back by everybody and we’re backed by any other leaders,” he said.
The President did add that he would always “consider negotiations” with the rogue state and said that Americans should not be fearful about the escalating tensions.
“The people of this country should be very comfortable,” Trump said. “The people of our country are safe. Our allies are safe.”
Yep…I feel so very reassured. How about you?
Donald said he’s going to wait and see whether Kim Jong Un follows through on his recent threat that he’s preparing to send missiles to Guam.
“Let’s see what he does with Guam,” said Trump. “He does something in Guam, it will be an event the likes of which nobody has seen before.”
Adding, “You’ll see, you’ll see. And he’ll see.”
Jeebus mamaloocha, he’s really having fun at all our expense, isn’t he? He’s turning this whole crisis into an Apprentice cliffhanger. Well, I’ll say this much, he’s succeeded in changing the conversation from Russia to Armageddon – good going. To be honest, I think the guy is totally capable of dropping the bomb on North Korea. Once the entire world is destabilized, no one’s going to care much about his impeachment.
