A day after the President posted a couple of deranged tweets describing ‘Psycho Joe’ and ‘bleeding…Crazy Mika’ as unwanted party guests at his precious palace in Mar-a-Lago, MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough slammed the talking yam both on-air and in a co-written op-ed piece for The Washington Post.

“I think it’s been fascinating, and frightening, and really sad for our country,” Brzezinski said Friday on the show.

The co-hosts did not mince their words, questioning Trump’s mental fitness in their piece for the Post.

“America’s leaders and allies are asking themselves yet again whether this man is fit to be president. We have our doubts, but we are both certain that the man is not mentally equipped to continue watching our show, ‘Morning Joe.’”

Even more disturbing than Donald’s infantile rant, was the revelation that he and his team of stooges threatened the engaged couple with a hit piece in the National Enquirer.

Scarborough claimed on Friday’s Morning Joe show that they received numerous call from higher-ups in the Trump administration stating, “’Hey, the National Enquirer is going to run a negative story against you guys’.”

“’If you call the president up, and you apologize for your coverage, then he will pick up the phone and basically spike this story,” Scarborough recounted.

The editor in charge of the Enquirer, Dylan Howard, said, “We have no knowledge of any discussions between the White House and Joe and Mika about our story, and absolutely no involvement in those discussions.”

Scarborough, however, claims he has proof of the White House threats — “I have texts from your top aides and phone records.”

He did not name names, but said “three people at the very top of the administration” called him about this.

Scarborough and Brzezinski went into further detail about the executive harassment in their op-ed, writing, “This year, White House staff members warned that the National Enquirer was planning to publish a negative article about us unless we begged the president to have the story spiked. We ignored their desperate pleas.”

For the record, White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters that he is “not aware” the situation.

Trump denied the accusation, taking to Twitter during the closing of the Morning Joe Show:

Scarborough retorted with his own tweet:

Once again, here are the deranged tweets that it all off:

Yet another tantrum thrown by our unhinged leader. It’s become all too apparent by now, that there is nothing the man can do that will be perceived by his congenitally confused contingent as too extreme. Perhaps, when he presses the button on North Korea in a fit of pique they will finally realize that the man is simply not well. Jeebus mamaloocha…this country is in serious trouble.

UPDATE: In a new story in New York magazine, Son-in-Law Jared Kushner has been identified as the ‘higher-up’ in the Trump administration that issued the threats to Joe Scarborough.
