One person is dead and several others injured after a former employee opened fire Friday at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in New York City. The shooter is being reported as Dr. Henry Bello, 45. Hiding his M-16 type rifle underneath his white lab coat, he began his rampage at 3 p.m. on the 16th and 17th floors. Bello later commited suicide.
The New York Times reports that at least three of the shooting victims are doctors with the hospital. One of the injured doctors was treated by tying an emergency fire hose into a makeshift tourniquet, according to the paper.
