A stabbing involving a police officer occurred Wednesday at a Flint, Michigan airport. The suspect is in custody.
The Transportation Security Administration says the attacker stabbed the officer in the back and neck near the Bishop International Airport’s main terminal.
The police officer, identified as Lt. Jeff Neville, is in stable condition and all passengers are safe. It appears as if the stabbing intentionally targeted law enforcement.
Michigan Governor Rick Snyder sent out a tweet in support of the victim.
Thank you to our local, state & federal law enforcement officials and first responders who are working hard at Bishop Airport.
