One person has been arrested in the Finsbury Park area of north London, after a vehicle ran into a crowd of pedestrians early Monday. London Metropolitan Police are calling it a “major incident” and a number of casualties have been reported. Witnesses approximate the number injured at about ten.
The incident took place near a community center called the Muslim Welfare House near several local mosques. The mosques had been holding evening prayers for the holy month of Ramadan.

In June, a car swerved into a crowd on London Bridge and men exiting it stabbed people, including an on-duty transport police officer, at the nearby Borough Market. Eight people were killed in the attack
